For people who have had eating disorders or know someone with one?

okay so my cousin is coming to visit on the weekend. i havent seen her in almost a year. shes been going through a lot in the past couple months. not eating and things like that. she was in the hospital a couple times and i guess its just really bad. anyways .. when i last seen her she was kind of bigger .. cant explain it. but for the last month and a half or so shes been barely eating and when she does its only fruits and things like that. i just want to know what to expect when i see her. in a month and a hlaf would she have lost a lot of weight? thanks .

She'll probably be quite a bit smaller
Larger people loose weight faster too because there's more of it =/

Anyway, try support her and if you think she's not getting enough help (although if she's been at the hospital then she is obviously being noticed) then help her get some.
You sound responsible and also you're not the only one dealing with the same thing. I have a friend that's the same.

Good luck and have a good time when you see her

It's hard to say dear. My best friend had both anorexia and bulimia for years. I never knew what to expect from her. In a month and a half my friend on her crazy streak could lose 30lbs. Thats when she was really down on herself. There is no way to prepare yourself for things like these, I'm sorry to hear about her. I really hope she can get better.

yeah, she'll probably be like 20lbs skinnier.

She may have lost alot of weight but try not to be shocked by the way see looks - it won't help her, just enchourage her the best you can and try and be supportive x
