In how much time do your teeths start falling if you have bulimia or and eating disorder?

One of my closest friend has an eationg disorder and she thinks i dont know but im actually do know, and my mom and are getting her help ,but i think she has been having and eating disorder for about 5 months and i heard your hair or teeths fall out but she looks fine ,just a little bit slimer...so when actually do your teeths fall of?

Well, a few things. First of all, the majority of people with bulimia aren't actually underweight (unless they are 'bulimarexic' or have purging-type anorexia), so it's easy for them to hide their problem. Your teeth/fingers (if you use them to throw up) can corrode after a while but it takes a long time - not just 5 months. That said, that's not the only, or even most important, thing to worry about. There are many more problems associated with anorexia and bulimia. It's great that you and your mom are helping going to help her out. Maybe you should talk to her mother first. Remember that it's important to use 'I' statements - don't blame her just show that you have concern. Good luck!

Actually is most cases not for quiet a while but she is doing great damage to her stomach, esophogus, teeth, etc. If she continues she may even have blood in her vomit, get her help as soon as possible the longer you go the worse it becomes. For ANY eating disorder!

It took my sister and law 10 months before it started to happen. Once the first tooth came out she got some help. After about 1 year she did it again but this time was pregnant. Due to the baby it only took 4 months the second time around. This disease is not a pretty one. She needs help ASAP. You need to let her parents know about it ASAP so that they can help her NOW!!!

Good Luck & God Speed!

I think it depends on how many nutrients she's getting and how often shes vomitting. Look at her teeth if they appear worn down it's a sign. Lack of energy is probably the most prevalent sign. Get her help before she does any permanent damage to her body!!!

The bile that comes up when you vomit, after about a year or so the enamel is eaten off of your teeth.

A few days. Get your firend some professional help.

depends on how little nutrients she is getting!!! she needs help asap
