How would a boy react if his girl best friend told him she had an eating disorder?

16 years

you may think that you are helping her by not stopping her or if it comes down to it not getting her help but the reality is that it is actually hurting her.

one of my close friends died from an eating disorder, and i did not stop her, i will always regret that

find a nice way to confront her, try to put yourself in her shoes. she is probably seeing something completely different in the mirror than other people see.

hope that helped

I don't think the boy's reaction would be negative. He'd be very supportive at first, but when he tries to help and the girl rejects his help, then eventually the boy will just give up and.. then something sad might happen..

If they are truly best friends, he'd listen to her and help her out. If he does not - he was never a 'best friend'.

Well, speaking as a boy, I think my initial reaction would be ''What, really?''.

And then to try and help her afterwards.

He would feel honored that she trusted him enough to confide in him.

Depends on the boy.

And the girl!

I would be there for her and get her help, if she needed it.

upset and shocked...but he SHOULD be very supportive

mine flipped it haha
