How can you say you have recovered from an eating disorder? |
What is the "evidence"? That sucks. For me, it was accepting myself as i am. i gained the weight back which is what i considered "recovery". i originally was at 125 so when i achieved that level again, i felt it was over. but i have had some lapses in the past year. but they were short. yeh i think i am about recovered now, I think it's when you feel normal with food. And you are not always worried about how many calories something has. And you're not obsessed with losing weight anymore, and you're not weighing yourself 5 times a day. But also I think its one of those things that you can say you have recovered from, but it will always be there. But you can learn to live with it. And not do anything drastic anymore. Well I hope this answered your question. Good luck! i have anorexia in the past and i can safely say you never 100% get over it but you learn to deal with it better in my case i eat very healthy and exercise the doctors class being compleatly over it by not worrying about ou put in your mouth but even doctors say once you have had an eating disorder you never compleatly get over it i think its one of those things that you cant recover from. you can learn to live with it in a healthy way, but the eating disorder mentalitly will always be there When you can eat what ever you want and when you feel you have been completely healed. ! Good Job !
