I think i have a mental problem, or a eating disorder. Please help me . . . I want to die?

I havnt eaten since tuesday. Its now Saturday and when i try to eat i throw up. I only weigh 35kgs, i was 45kgs last week. I havnt slept all week nd i keep crying for like no reason. Looking at food makes me want to vomit, im constantly dizzy and have major migrains. What is wrong with me?

Wow. No one wants to help

OK, I think you have a serious problem here. Normally I leave really long detailed answers, but here I'm going to try to keep it short. If you cannot eat something in the next 2 hours, I would say call a friend, or a family member, and talk to them so they know what's going on with you. If you have a car, you may need to go to an emergency room. If you don't have a car, and if it is that serious, you are going to need to call 911 (if you live in the U.S.) so you can get an ambulance to your location so you can get help.

EDIT 1: I saw your note and I want to help.

EDIT 2: I don't know about taking the citalopram, I'm not a doctor.

EDIT 3: I'm not trying to be mean here but listen, it doesn't matter if everyone wants to help you or if no one wants to help you, you are going to have to want to help yourself. Be strong.

You may want to check with a family doctor to make sure you don't have any physical problems that are contributing to this. Is it possible you may be pregnant? My ex had hyperemesis (sp?) and lost quite a bit of weight during her first three months of pregnancy.

If that isn't a possibility, I'm sure the migraines could be playing a big role. Migraines don't exactly make a person fond of food. Are you able to sleep?

I don't recommend restarting the citalopram without a doctor's instructions. It usually takes a week to two weeks to feel the effect of antidepressants anyway.

Get the physical exam, then get set up with a counselor and psychiatrist. they can make sure you don't have major physical issues, then move on with your life.

Katie....it sounds like you do need some help. Don't be afraid to reach & out ask for it. There is help & the best part is...it's free.... Please call this number. They are great & will help you... 1-800-273-8255.

You seem to have severe depression. The dizziness and headaches are because of not eating. You should visit a psychiatrist. You might need to remain hospitalized for some time until you can eat normally.

You really need to visit the doctor/psychiatrist. If not, check out Eating Disorders for Dummies. But really, this is serious enough for professional advice at the clinic/hospital.

Your problem: talking to complete strangers on the web instead of trained proffessionals who are meant to deal with your problem.

thnx for 2 points.

go see a doctor!!!

i think your situation is pretty urgent, and so go see a doctor!
