Im scared im suffering from an eating disorder. my friends all tell me im skinny but i seriously think im fat!

im 5'5'' and 103 and although ive never made myself throw up if i eat even just maybe one grape too many i get all depressed and feel like crap because i think i ate too much. i want to know how i can stop obsessing about food and not feel like after everything i eat i have to get on the scale to make sure i didn't gain anything.

Best thing to do is calculate your Body Mass Index. It will tell you whether you are a healthy weight for your height or not. Wikipedia will have details.
From your pictures you look thin, so if you seriously think you are fat then you should speak with someone about your concerns. Some people are naturally skinnier than others, but if you are dieting and trying to lose weight, then you need to address this because it's not healthy to be underweight as everybody knows.

You are extremely skinny, but you look good. Still, such a low weight probably makes the breasts small, and the hipbones large. Missing your period is a very big sign of undernourishment - if you are underweight over a period of years, it could result in other things like hair loss, brain shrinkage (not kidding), bone loss, and of course, heart problems (several models died after suffering from anorexia). Starvation is not sexy!

I would still say that you look attractive and if you are happy with yourself, then fine. But losing weight at this stage would be incredibly unhealthy - if anything, gaining a few pounds could help. Of course, people are built in different ways - I once had roommates who were 5'5" yet weighed 85 pounds and wanted to be heavier. Please do not lose any more weight - you are below as is, though still stunning.

if you're not restricting, over-exercising or stuff like that, you probably don't have an ED.

if you have been fasting and lowering calorie intakes, you would most likely have EDNOS, and the difference between EDNOS and anorexia is that with EDNOS you still get your period and you're still a proper weight.

umm, you could just have a distorted self-image. if you actually had the condition, BDD body dysmorphic disorder, you would know. BDD is really bad and some people don't even go out of the house when they're suffering from it.

so maybe you've got low self-esteem right now, most teen girls do. go dance in your bikini in front of a mirror, jump on or bed or something fun to make yourself happier :D

how old are you? and why are you putting pics like that on the interent? not good. if u throw up ur food or u are starving yourself than u need to get to a doctor asap, but if you eat food and are just naturally thin than ur good. so you may think ur fat but just to let you nkow ur not. i can see ur ribs and hip bones in that pic. Are you just wanting people to tell you that ur thin?

I really hope that your kidding. I have the same issue that you do though, so i know how you feel.
But if you are like me you WONT listen and will tune this out...Buttt you are THIN, you have a really nice body and you should be happy with it! You look gorgeous and are young and should be enjoying like. I know about hating your body so i'll understand if you don't believe what i am saying, but i am being honest. Good luck

Yes u are VERY skinny. Well that all depends on if you dont eat, feel bad after you eat, obsess over calories, and are constantly looking at your body in the mirror. You already thinking your fat is not a good sign....Your beautiful sweetie no matter what you weigh!

Well, you are definitely not fat, and I don't think you're that skinny either, but you're definitely more towards the skinny side than the fat side. And if you don't mind me saying, I think you look hot. And I think you're the prettiest of all your friends.. Be proud of the way you look! If you don't exercise at all or play sports, then start exercising. If you always exercise regularly and don't you eat too much junk food, you won't ever get fat, trust me. And for the last time, you're NOT FAT!!! Like, how could you think that. I'm sure there are a lot of girls out there who would do anything to have a body like yours. Be proud!

If you exercise enough, it really doesn't matter what you eat, as long it's not only junk food. If you exercise your body will demand foods that you need - like carbs and protein. So when you're hungry, eat. And grapes can't make you fat, you can eat as much as you want. You can also eat as much salad as you want. You can also pretty much drink as much water as you want. Don't stay away from cheese and milk and other dairy products cause you think they'll make you fat. They're healthy. If you eat too much of them and don't exercise, you will get fat. But you're gonna exercise if you don't already, right? You should also lift weights. If you lift weights and put on muscle mass, then if you want, you can lose the fat if it's bothering you so much. But don't try to lose weight NOW, because you'll be anorexic. Don't worry so much, as long you exercise and eat healthy, you won't get fat. I feel so sorry for girls like you. You're not fat, goddamn it!!! You look great now, if don't like too much fat on you, then like I said, put on muscle FIRST, then lose the extra fat.
