I don't have an eating disorder... right?

My friends keep telling me I have an eating disorder but I don't think so.

i'm 16 yo / f/ 5'5" and around 120 pounds, maybe less

What might make them think that = I measure my waist & other areas with a measuring tape daily, I don't eat vegetables or meat, I skip at least one meal a day, I eat around 800 calories every day, I'm pretty OCD about going to the gym and exercising, I'm "skinny" to them, I do want to lose weight, I watch ANTM

Why they shouldn't think I am = I don't think I have one, I feel fine, I still eat a lot of junk food, and idk! i'm not some shallow anorexic girl!

please tell me i'm right so i can show them this and they will leave me alone.. i'm completely normal. i have enough problems that i get therapy for and this doesn't need to be one.

I wish I could say you're right, but it sounds the complete opposite.

It sounds like you have exercise bulimia (going to the gym excessively to burn calories after you eat). In addition to that, you should be consuming at LEAST 1,000 calories a day. Those two hundred make a difference in how you feel (not light-headed, more energy).

Also, just because you eat junk food doesn't mean you do not have an eating disorder. It sounds like you are binging on junk food rather than eating healthy nutritious food.

Maybe you should turn the TV off and realize how good you already look.

You are the perfect weight for your height. Stop obsessing. I know it's not that easy, but this problem may turn into a larger, life-threatening problem if you don't seek help or stop.

i care about you too much to lie. you do have a eating disorder. i was also anorexic and bulimic as a teen. and like you i did not think i had a problem either. thankfully i came out of it. the first step with any addiction/disorder is to acknowledge that you are like them. you do have a problem.

Mandy Said it perfect

I would I could tell you the same thing. You're not going to gain any weight if you add that one meal back in. As long as you burn the calories you're gaining, you'll be fine. However, you do need some calories. You have a healthy weight for your height. I'm 5'6" and I'm 115 lbs, so I can tell you that you're healthy. You need to be eating at least 2,000 calories a day, not 800. And you don't need to lose weight at all. You're perfectly thin. Eat meat and vegetables again. Add in that one meal. Burn the calories you intake. But keep some of the calories you intake.
