Help! am i developing an eating disorder??? |
okk hi everyone. i am a 13 year-old-girl who is 5 feet 5 inches and weighs 113 pounds. yes, i know i am fat. so anyways, latley my weight has been all i can think about. i always feel like i am such a fatty. soo latley i havent been eating breakfast, and packing very small lunches like a few cackers and peanut butter. then, whenever i do eat, i feel like i am about to throw up, like i just ate a muffin, and i am trying to keep it down. i am not forcing myself to throw up, i just feel like i have to...ahh please help me! i also have stuggled with depression last year, with suicidal thoughts, but that is now over. thank you! My 15 year old neice is 5'5" and weighs 130 pounds and she is not fat - she is very healthy and wears a size 3 or 5. you are not fat, you are female. The HEALTHY female body is supposed to have some fat stores. You need to talk to an adult and nip this thing in the bud. Also, this could be some sort of stomach bug or stress related if it is fairly new. Stop being so self-concious and be happy. see the pics below. One is a fat girl, one is anorexic (ewww) and one of the pictures is of a group of all sizes. Go look in the mirror now - that is just right! Yes you do have an eating disorder. If you think 5'5" at 113 is fat, you do need some counseling in eating. As long as you eat healthy, good proteins, fruits and veggies and whole grains you shouldn't feel the need to throw up. Go to your Dr and they will set you up with a dietitian or nutritionist to help you out. at 5'5 and 113 lbs you are NOT fat!! if you are having these feelings you really need to talk to a parent so they can help you. i think alot of girls have these worries because of what the media thinks women should look like. but the average women isnt 6 feet tall and 100 lbs. you need to talk with a counselor of some sorts. good luck and dont focus on any negative flaws you may or may not have and focus on your good qualities. skipping breakfast is actually bad if you are trying to lose weight, eating breakfast starts your metabolism so that you can burn fat, you want to start your metabolism as early as possible if you want to lose weight I would talk to a parent about this if i were you. The answer to your question is a hard one to believe. The reason is that your body is out of sync. Your body is being deprived of the chemicals it needs to be healthy. The weird thing is, the more out of balance your body becomes, the more it seems that you must deprive yourself of food, when actually, the opposite is true. In other words, it just gets worse unless you can act against the way it feels, which is almost impossible to do without help. Having depression or anxiety in the past is something that makes it easier for people to develop an eating disorder. I am currently trying to recover from Anorexia. I am 5'8 and 113 pounds. It isn't worth it. Honestly. And it's sooo much easier to excersize if you eat 3 healthy meals a day. Please stop now. I am so much more happy now, I haven't gained weight, I am staying at a steady weight and I feel so proud. Just start out eating healthier things like fruits and salads, and it will build up your metabolism. Talk to a friend or family member that you trust. |
