Do I have an eating disorder...Please help!?


kay people are really starting to bug me about my weight
and yeah, I do exercise very frequently and
never eat more than 800 cals a day but
its not like im anorexic!
(ive made myself puke before as well, but only when I pass 850 cals)

JUST TO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW, I AM A GUY!

I weigh 115 lbs and I'm 5'8 at 16

Do I have an eating disorder?

Yes I would say you do have a problem with food.. 800 cals a day is nowhere near enough.. considering you work out a lot.. that is burning more calories than you take in.. In order to maintain a healthy body weight without gaining extra weight.. you should eat as much food as you burn in energy..that way you can't gain weight but also won't lose anymore and you are a bit too skinny for your height .. you are underweight... and if you make yourself puke.. that shows you do have an eating disorder.. you eat.. but you eat minimal amounts and you loose all the nutritional value you take in with the 800 cals you eat per day.. by working out hard.. and you probably lose 400 of those cals again.. due to over exercising and 400 cals per day is too little to stay healthy on.. so you do have an eating disorder without being directly anorexic... but you are underweight and what you are doing is harmful to your body....
you should eat healthy foods.. boiled chicken breast . fruit and salads, full grain bread.. and just skip the junk food and the sweets and take in at least 1400 cals per day... otherwise you are going to become really thin. and people don't want to bug you about your weight .. but they can see by looking at you that you are way too thin for your height....so they bug you because they care and are worried. OKay?? xxxx you should talk about this to your doctor.. the family physician. . a lot of guys your age and girls have weight issues... and I believe you do need some help.. even if that means that someone puts together a list of nutritious food you should eat.. and you won't gain weight... but you cannot allow yourself to lose mor.. because you are already too thin and will become even thinner.. and the fact that you make yourself puke is a sign you have an eating disorder and the doctor can help you.. Believe me you are not alone there are thousands of teenagers who have the same problem .. that doesn't make you abnormal but it makes you risk your life and your health.. therefore you should accept and seek help... people don't want to bug you to get on your nerves but we are concerned.. even we here who read this and don't know you are concerned and worried about you and tell you it's a good idea to get help without wanting to get on your nerves.. People who care will say something and not watch in silence how you slowly 'self destruct'' xxx

鈥o you have recurrent inappropriate compensatory behavior to prevent weight gain like for example misuse of laxatives or excessive exercising?
鈥hen you look at yourself at the mirror, do you see yourself as fat or overweight?

if you answered "yes" to all these questions. YES you do have an eating disorder. you are bulimic.

I'm 16 year old and I'm 5'3 (femaly) and I weight I more pound than you (116) I guess i'm fat =/ but eating 800 calories a day is not heathly you need to eat a certain amout of fruits and vegs everyday and most people base there day on 2,000 calories a day you can still eat at least 1500 calories a day and still be skinny but not under weight and unheathly but yes i would say you have a eating disorder but excersing is good but don't OVER do it

i can't say that you have an eating disorder without hearing more; however, you definitely show signs of disordered eating. 800 will drop to 600, 500, 300... if you do not yet have an eating disorder (as in the- not impossible, but very difficult- to reverse distorted thinking) you are on your way. i would advise you to see a professional.

and as far as the being a guy thing goes- i've seen pleeenty of guys suffering from eating disorders. i've wiped tears from a six-year-old boy's face as he told us during 'ED Group' how disgustingly fat he believed himself to be.

it's hard. i'm not going to lie. but you can do it. i mean, if i can do it... anyone can. haha

That isn't good for you hun!

And you should only be using the ammount of calories you take in,
So if you burn 1000 calories a day,
Thats how many calories a day you should be eating.

Please please don't ever do anything like that to your body or yourself!
You could put yourself in alot of harm!
