I dont have an eating disorder. but it may become one?

You may just not have the right body type-- some of us girls are meant to be curvier. Not all of us can be sticks, sweetie. And I'll tell you a secret: 9 out of 10 MEN like curves. They love meat on our bones!

You are only thirteen! Give it time. If you start starving yourself or throwing up, or whatever, you could STUNT your growth, and then you'll never have a shot at modeling. Just stop worrying. You still have a lot of years, and a lot of growing to do. Focus on school right now. If you let these insecurities start eating at you now, you most certainly WILL have a full blown eating disorder when you're older.

I'm sure you are gorgeous. If you keep having these negative feelings, I would have to suggest that you find someone to talk to-- a parent, teacher, or even a doctor.

Good luck, honey.

PS- a note on these "so skinny models:" they are airbrushed in magazines. The really thin ones have to have their RIBS airbrushed away. That is just not beautiful to me. : (

all you need is a little will power to make the right decisions. that means eating the right amount. if you don't eat for a while, the food that you do eat will stick to you and your body will want to store it as fat. eat around 6 small meals a day so that your metabolism stays active. this alone will help you lose weight A LOT. you don't need to go crazy with the exercising either though. don't overdo it or you will have the urge to cheat your diet more often, but cheating once a week actually isn't that bad for you. it will help you stay sane and stay on your diet. cutting down on carbs will help you because it is digested much faster and so it is more likely to be stored in your body. protein digests slower, and certain ones such as casein protein digest even slower than that. you'll be able to figure out your diet pretty easily

Unfortunately, you already DO have an eating disorder. Obsessing about models' bodies is never healthy - remember that only 2% of the WORLD population has that type of genetic makeup. Also, keep in mind that many countries have banned the stick thin models from their fashion runways.

At 13, you should be more concerned with getting yourself revved up for highschool and college plans, prom, and your life ahead of you, not what a bunch of corporate megalomaniacs try to promote as beauty. Trust me, I've battled a stomach and intestinal condition that caused me to drop over 40 lbs in 3 months, hitting an unhealthy weight of 98 lbs on my 5'7 skeleton. Not only do I look gaunt and (frankly) ugly, but I still look nothing like any model you'd ever see.

Focus on health, friendship and forming the idea of a future for yourself. Don't let your obsession take over your life, and do see a doctor to get your blood checked for horomone / vitamin depletion. It's a normal part of the growing up process, but it doesn't have to kill you.

Good luck.

Model skinny are not that pretty honey. Some men like it filled in the right places. (its true, one man actually told that to my Model-thin sister)! Eat frequently, but healthily, excercise regularly! Not bad to go jogging or swimming or signing up for wilderness camps during summer hols. That does make you lose weight. And do not eat junk! i know tween like you guys like em cuz they're cool n tasty, but that is purely fat and carb and god-knows-what additives. I refrain from them since 5 yrs ago. Still 'crash em; and eats them sometimes(when friends offer), but you won't see me buying it on the shelf.

You know when your perfect weight is reached when you can fill up the back part of the jeans, not stuffing ur bra wih Kleenex and DO not have ribs showing. Toned, healthy person is important that skinny but sick ones! (unfortunately that's not the case of our Seventeen models)
