School Project About eating disorder..please read and help,?


Right basically we are doing the project yeah and i have to write about it and i need to know

a)how many calories do aneroicxs consume in a day
b)do they lose weight in the first 2 weeks or put it on
c)why do they do it (which i kinda know)

btw i know there will be one person who will say something about me so Im 5'3 and 120 lbs and perfectly happy and have a boyfriend so im hot okay.

anorexics usually consume between 100 and 500 calories a day. depending on how whether or not they're fasting. obviously, on a fast the calorie intake is usually under 10 cals.

anorexics usually lose weight in the first 2 weeks, but it's mainly water weight. the actual fat comes off a bit later.

errrr. why anorexics are anorexic. i'm borderline anorexic. i have some kind of eating disorder. wow, that was hard to say. i'm about ready to accept it. i'm a member of a pro-anorexia community online. anorexics do it for control. to control one thing in their lives (food) rather than controlling everything else. they're often rape victims, or victims of abuse, verbal or physical. bones show them purity, fat shows impurity, and failure, and a lack of control.

i feel weird replying to this as someone with an ED, but i'm like 95% sure i do, i'm just not quite ready to accept it.

typically anorexic people don't start out starving themselves....it usually starts with them wanted to lose a couple lbs, and just eating less and exercising...then it's eating less and less....at first people will start noticing they are losing weight which drives them to eat even less-because they feel if they go back to eating more they will gain the weight etc.

They will lose weight in the beginning-but the weight they lose is water weight and worse...muscle-then it starts to affect their health big time! There are so many issues such as lack of calcium for weak bones, and of course heart issues...it's just not a good idea.

Most people do it for control. They feel what they put into their body they have control over and this is important for people who have lost control or don't have control over certain things like parents fighting, etc. Plus it becomes an addiction just like smoking or drinking-they feel like they conquered something if they don't eat or eat very little.
