Weight obssessed or eating disorder?

i lost 100lbs since december 2007 from 230lbs to 130 lbs.. yes i was obese back then... i entered maintenace phase may and was successful enought to keep off the weight for a month now.. but the thing is im so scared that i'll gain weight.. i weigh myslef everday.. exercise for an hour and half which made me lose more weight..i avoid as much as possible meats.. my parents and sisters tell me i need to gain weight.. but i just dont want too.. they tell me im too skinny..im 5'7" male(FYI)

You are probably abit of both if you want my opinion.

Its silly weighing yourself every day you wont see that much of a change day on day and it'll make you obsess even more. 130 I'll be honest is light, im 5'8 1/2 at 166 pounds but I have a 30 inch waist and a low body fat. I'll admit Im kinda obsessed with my training but its never the detriment of my social life or maintaining a proper diet

You also have a unhealthy relationship with food - it seems like it scares you. I will admit overweight people who lose alot are more likely to put it back on but only if you slip back in to the habits that got you there in the first place. You can maintain a healthy balanced diet that does include (a small portion) of unhealthy food.

Training for over an hour at a time is wasteful after 45-60 mins your muscles run out of energy and they start breaking down there is no need to train for 90 mins.

And the comment about avoiding meats-- thats only acceptable if you're getting a suffcient source of protein from elsewhere, if you're training that much you have to have a good protein source

You need to realise putting on weight does not mean putting on fat, putting on muscle is perfectly acceptable the scales will read higher but you will look alot more toned and defined.

If you want my honest overall opinion you have a low self esteem a need a confidence boost this weight issue is a sign of something more deep-rooted, talk to someone about it

you dont need to gain weight they liked you fat and you are making them uncomfortable this way, sometimes the whole family is responsible for fat people . remember walter hudson. he couldent get out of bed. so SOMEONE WAS FEEDING HIM. its always a family dyamic. STOP thinking about weight. FOREVER. think about health. if its healthy food eat it . if its not dont eat it.
How old are you ? (jhspooner2003@yahoo.com)
I lost weight when i forgot about dieting and started to think about health. You dont have a weight or eating disorder. i need to know more to help you. your family might be doing more harm than good.

this is a very unhealthy obsession. i suggest to cut back on your exercise and to eat healthy as that is enough to keep you in shape. perhaps visit a doctor for professional help and go see a psychologist to discuss your fears about gaining weight. stay healthy and goodluck!
