Eating Disorder? when will I get my period back?

How many weeks/months do you think it would take to get my period back? I had an eating disorder for about 4 months but im eating healthy now I have been for about 5 days.

Probably not untill your body has settled back into it's own healthy cycle, and you have moved back into a healthy weight category.

When you don't have enough nutrients your body has to cut as many corners as possible on how it operates. Kinda like running on a really tight budget. It's going to take a while before your body knows it can start using all it's organs to thier full extent again.

Some ladies will get thier periods back really quickly- but for others there may be permenant damage to thier reproductive system. It depends on your body, how long you suffered your eating disorder, and how severe it was.

It sounds as though you got treatment early though- and hopefully your body should make a full recovery soon.
