How do u combat an eating disorder by yourself?

How do u combat an eating disorder by yourself?

Asking for help. Admitting there is a problem is the first start and that has to come from within YOURSELF.

There are many support groups online and books you can read too, but online support groups involve other people. Reading books may or may not help, as it is just YOU and YOUR OWN thoughts.

Eating disorders can worse if you try and tackle them all by yourself, so try and find the courage within yourself to realize you can't help yourself completely recover without someone else's help and support and knowledge --- whether it be a parent, a friend, a therapist, or even the knowledge someone writes in their book that you read. You can't do it completely by yourself.

just stop? if you suggested just stop u have no idea what an eating disorder is. and eating disorder is when you have suffered trama in your life whether it was sexual, physical or mental abuse in your life. you feel you are not happy withyourself and you have low self esteem. this is what anorexia , bulimia or binge ed is developed from. i have ednos, the beginging of anorexia. you cant just tellyourself to stop. its harder than that. everyday tell yourself you are thin and beautiful for 10 mins. say it over and over. throw out your ana/mia journals, start buying soda not diet soda get rid of your scale, eat every meal thats offered 2 u. i understand its hard, its 2 late for me but you can try this.

Get REALLY baked and go to Old Country Buffet!

I'm sorry, I'm just kidding. But, seriously, you're already on the right track! Even though, in your question you asked how to do it "by yourself", you are, in doing so, getting help from others.

Find an online support group. They're grrrrrrreat! You can spill your guts to a community that shares your disorder in every shade of severity, while still remaining anonymous. I'm a member of an online forum for panic disorder and it has helped me immensely. You'll find that there are a lot more people than you think in your same situation, same age group, same background...

Give it a shot, it's probably easier than you think - nothing helps this kind of situation more than contributing to a community that understands your struggle.

you can call any of the professional facilities for a free confidential assessment. they will be more than pleased to answer any of your questions. go to the website listed as my source and you can call anyone on there who can help you. if you do have an eating disorder, you will want to get help from a professional first. hope this helps and God bless you.

Its very hard to do it alone. I mean im beginning to start out with an eating disorder...anorexia...not much eating, and exercise like crazy...I wont stop till i lose 15 pounds and have a flat stomach like i used to.
But its almost impossible to do alone. You should talk to your doctor, see a therapist, or even visit a nutritionist...they will help you win the battle.

JUST STOP.OR GET HELP.WHAT KIND "DO U HAVE".
