10 points best answer !!eating disorders and acne?

does anyone know if anorexia helps acne, i have never seen an anorexic person with acne.. do you think not eating is good for your skin? im just wonderin..
and i dont want a bunch of answers saying 'dont stop eating its bad for you' lol
i was just wondering about that..
thanks you :]]

im not anorexic.. lol.. i was just wondering.. thats why i didnt want a bunch of 'thats not healthy' answers
i dont starve myself lol
it was just a random question :]

no, because eating doesn't make acne worse. Acne is caused by clogged pores, when your inner layers of skin are unable to shed itself through follicles.
Though, anorexia means your body is very lacking in minerals and nutrients, so possibly your body oil decreases, meaning a decrease in acne. so possibly. . . interesting idea
NOT CONDONING ANOREXIA, OK?

I have an anorexic friend who has acne, it's possible. So anorexia doesn't help. It depends on:
1. What your natural skin type is.
2. What oils your skin is exposed to (do you touch your face a lot, or have hair in your face/bangs?).
3. How regularly you clean your face.
4. What you're genetically disposed to (like number 1).

And not eating is terrible for your skin. You get essential nutrients from you food that actually make it healthy.

Hope that helps answer your question. :]

OK if you eat unhealthy or oil foods, you're most likely to get acne. Those type of foods are definitely gonna make you break out.
By the way, anorexia doesn't stop acne, hun. It just stops you from LIVING, eventually. So even tho u told everyone not to say this, stop starving yourself or you're gonna get really really sick.

well it could work both ways.
oily and fatty foods make you break out, and if people who are anorexic don't eat, then they're not eating the oily and fatty foods. however, they are also not getting other nuetrients and depending on your body a lack of those things can make you break out.

No, disordered eating does not help acne. Vitamin deficiencies actually cause ance to get worse. I found this out when I went off to college. My body exploded with acne due to not eating or getting any veggies in my diet. I started taking multivitamin pills and things started to clear up.

Well, ok, even if it does help acne not eating can cause alot of helth problems. But i do know that somttimes the sugger in food can cause pimples and acne and stuff. And anorixia people dont eat, so there is no sugger in there to get acne from. hope i helped.

oily foods can make your skin and hair get greasy and oily which can cause breakouts.
