I think i may have an eating disorder or may be getting one and idk who to tell!? |
i cant tell anyone cuz they will freak and i wanna tell my friend but shes in camp and idk who to tell or what to say or do.. im 12 pss............. Hey girl, I just saw your message to my question. There are resources everywhere. You can go on the internet and find support groups, which are free that you can attend. Even talking to your parents so they can take you to a doctor and discuss what's going on. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents, find another adult that you feel comfortable telling. These disorders can escalate beyond your control and the sooner you get help the better. Please research the support groups. And don't feel that way about yourself either, you are young and your body is still developing and the long term damage you can create from these disorders can ruin your life. It was mess up your metabolism which in the end will cause your body to gain weight, it will mess up your reproductive system causing you to miss periods and possibly make it so you can't have children, you will be tired all the time, and it causes your hair to fall out. Please see these consequences as not worth trying to fit into some hollywood mold. Are bodies are beautiful anyway they are and often we see ourselves bigger than we really are. If you need help finding some groups in your area or need anything else please please!! email me at Brittdk21@yahoo.com and I will try and help you in any way I can:) Well you do and its fine! You seek help and most girls go through it! Its a phase! But you need control, eat out with friends and let your parents take you places and eat it up! Don't count calories. Just know you can eat sweets and chips but like once a day so your heart can stay strong. It may not hurt you in the long run but it will haunt you!. Like i keep saying, Its great so many girls don't want to be supper skinny. here is a link to help calculate you BMI. Which is Body Mass Index! I think you should tell someone you really trust in your family or a really close friend. You and that person can go to the doctor to see if you do have a eating disorder. It might seem like a small problem now but after time if you don't take care of your self, it could become a serious problem. Hope it helped! hey huni Go to your GP - PDQ!! Tell them what you are doing (if your GP is male, request to see a woman if you feel more comfy with that) but either way - DO IT NOW!!! I am in no position to diagnose you, and nor am I going to. Go to your GP. |
