Do i have a eating disorder? or am i just depressed? |
i don't know why but i been feeling really weird lately. i had my wisdom teeth pulled out and i didn't eat a lot b/c i couldnt, and now that i could im not. I feel bad when i eat food and dont excercise. When i'm hungry i chew gum instead. My family misunderstands me and all my friends are graduating this year and i'm a year below them, i dont like my class that much. People say im such a happy birthday but lately i just been feeling really strange and unhappy for some reason. please help :( o i been feeling a little dizzy, like if i get out of the couch i see white lights in the corners of my view. but i dont feel weak? Birdym seems pretty right on with this one. I would disagree on the point about just being unhappy. I think you are depressed. It is good that you're discussing this, but you should definitely talk to your school counselor asap. By law, they cannot divulge info you give to them. Feel free talking with them . . . the white spots in front of your eyes is essentially starvation! You're not feeding your body. I've had it occur to me as well. I workout all the time and ate sparingly . . . it's your bodies way of saying it cannot continue at this pace. Too, your body will start feeding upon itself if you don't feed it . . . it'll attack muscle first. You don't want that. If you are feeling this way then just eat healthy foods and go to a camp or vacation. It should make you feel better. if you start experiencing to big of problems... i would recommended a therapist or docter. Sorry if i didnt help mch!

i dont think your depressed, but just unhappy and perhaps the reason your not really eating is you sub-conciously trying to get people to notice that , as you said people seem to view you as constantly happy so it can be furstrating and sad when people dont realise your unhappy and this is been reflected into your eating habbits. the reason your getting dizzy etc is because of this and by not eating you will make yourself more unhappy and stressed as your body is been deprived of something it needs. i think you need to explain to one family member or a trusted friend how you are feeling and concentrate on eating properly and keeping positive, as it could lead to depression or an eating disorder. its really good your seeking help this soon, you just need to talk to someone who can help you through this. You need protein. That's one of the reasons you're dizzy when you stand up. {It happens to me alot}. |

It is good that you're discussing this, but you should definite... it doesn't sound like an eating disorder, sounds more like a compulsion, or simple obsession. most people have them in phases through out their life. As long as you never let your self go ext... take a deep breath, and stop being judge mental, you might find some one who is just like you out there, and type don't put people on a list of dos' and don'ts you are selling your s... your mom is bulimic if shes making herself throw up. you are such a great daughter to be asking for help, because i really do think that your mom needs it. sit her down and be like "Mom i...
