Im dealing with an eating disorder and i dont know who to go to anymore...?

like therapy or rehab or something

im a recovered anorexic and im starting to get back into my old habits
i have all these issues that i never tell people because no one expects them of me...everybody expects me to be perfect

my parents are from a traditional middle eastern family and dont understand my pressure
i really need help but theirs no way in talking to them
and the costs are too high and i feel bad
my dad used to pay $400 a day, 2-3 days a week for my treatment

and yet i still think what im doing is okay...
and i cant tell my friends...

well, i think that nobody can help you until you decide that you really want to change & you make those first few steps.

i think a lot of people feel that...that pressure to be perfect. especially girls...younger girls. the thing is you can't expect to please everyone & you're never going to be happy until you stop letting other people's opinions get into your head.

you're young. you have so much ahead of you. if that's you in the picture...you look beautiful. be happy with yourself...not with what you think you need to be or what you think other people what you to be. there are far too many people to please & we have to many expectations to try to keep us happy. you cannot make others happy all the time.

what are you afraid of the most? is it being overweight? or are you worried people are going to judge you? or that you won't be accepted unless you're a certain weight or size?

why do you think being or becoming anorexic is ok? it's dangerous and harmful. It can lead to starvation and serious health problems, such as bone thinning (osteoporosis), kidney damage, and heart problems. Some people die from these problems. nobody deserves to put themselves through that & you are worth more than that.

How is it treated?

All people who have anorexia need treatment. Even if you or someone you care about has only a couple of the signs of an eating disorder, get help now. Early treatment gives the best chance of overcoming anorexia.

Treatment can help you get back to and stay at a healthy weight, learn good eating habits, and learn to feel better about yourself. Because anorexia is both a physical and emotional problem, you may work with a doctor, a dietitian, and a counselor.

There are no medicines to treat anorexia. But if you are depressed or anxious, your doctor may prescribe an antidepressant medicine.

If your weight has dropped too low, you will need to be treated in a hospital. People who have lost a large portion of their weight need to take part in a live-in (inpatient) treatment program for people with eating disorders. This type of treatment can be costly, but it gives the best chance of recovery.

Anorexia can take a long time to overcome, and it is common to fall back into unhealthy habits. If you are having problems, don't try to handle them on your own. Get help now.

talk to a counselor or doctor. the sooner you get help the sooner you'll be healthy. nothing about anorexia is glamorous. do you really want to have health problems throughout the rest of your life? hope you find some help, honey. don't continue to hurt yourself...it accomplishes absolutely nothing except wear you down. find some good support...http://www.angelfire.com/amiga/anorexias...
