Am i developing an eating disorder? (worried)? |
i am very thin... like underweight... i dont think about it much but when people compliment me on my figure or say stuff like OMG your so thin i sudenly feel the need to be thin even more and i just seem to lose my appetite and make sure i am thin... it is strange... lately i dont eat much... i dont really get hungry much anymore... whats with that? why do i feel the need to be thin underweight? latey i think about it alot im like obsessed with being able to see my ribs and hip bones... if i cant then i get really angry with myself ... am i developing an eating disorder?... In some way i think you are. the reason you dont get hungry any more could be that you are soo consumed by how your figure looks that your mind is only concentrating on that and not anything else. it sounds like that its mostly in your mind and you'll have to try and over come this. the best thing i can say for you to do is to eat something, may it be a fruit some veggies, yogurt, anything you really should eat even if you dont feel like it. Oh and since you are not eating alot you should probably start to take a vitiamin of some sort to help your body get most of the nutrience that it not getting because of you not eating so much. well i hope you can over come what ever this is. Knowing the problem is half the battle won! "Thin" is a very subjective term. Find a bmi calculator on line and compute yours. That will tell you how the medical field would rate your status. If you are under their bottom guidance figure then you do have cause for concern. Yes, you need to talk to a school counsler or better yet your folks if you can talk to them. Yeah that would be a eating disorder! Subconsiously your not wanting to eat so it makes your brain think that you arent really hungry!! And if you WANT to see your ribs and hip bones thats another sign of it! What you need to do is go to your nearest McDonalds and get yourself a Cheeseburger!!! And then tell your doctor so they can get you some help!!!! the same thing seems to be happening to me i used to eat alot but i just don't and i don't tend to feel hungry! Just eat nutritious foods, take vitamins and go to your doctor. yes it sounds like you are. go see a doctor they can help you |
