Anorxia/eating disorder? Wondering if he has one...? |
I have had my suspicions since I met my husband 8 years ago. Seems like its gotten worse. Maybe he really is just a REALLY picky eater (so much so that he doesnt even eat daily?!). He drinks between 8-12 cans of MT Dew a day, has some gatorade, and some water. He wakes up after 8 hours of sleep at 2pm, and drinks mt until 6 or 7... when he eats dinner. And lately he just has a few bites. He is so picky he NEVER eats everything on his plate, he leaves at least a whole sandwich in crusts and chunks if he eats 2- its like that with everything, he picks off way more than he eats. I dunno... just worried. Today all he had was a ton of MT Dew and said he ate dinner- but he had like 2 bites of stir fry, if that.... He is a skinny guy too, always has been but his eating has gotten less in the 8 years, he used to eat breakfast OR lunch daily, or both. He smokes a ton too, not the kind from the store though.... I think his eating is messing with his head he is soo grouchy lately! Any ideas? Little more info- I had Bulemia back starting 10 years ago, and have been free for over 5 years. He eats meat and cheese pretty much only- cheeseburgers, friends, tacos <meat chz beans> lasagne, pepp pizza w no sauce. He also is a little nutty in the fact that if say milk has been open more than a day, he wouldnt use it for cereal <same as the box of cereal>. And yes, I have told him that i worry about him, and he knows its bad that he doesnt eat and drinks and smokes so much. I CANT MAKE HIM STOP, I wish i could..... He doesnt even wake up until 2pm, then he eats dinner at 6ish and goes to bed at 6ish. One meal a day average- maybe one day a week he will also eat at 4pm. IDK.... Maybe he's just very unhappy, miserable and depressed. Ok he really needs to stop drinking so much MT Dew even one can a day is to much. also not eating 3 whole meals a day is not healthy. He also needs his veges and fruit. you need him to start eating better. Also stop him smoking drugs that should give him the munchies but i dunno its not good for him either. try to get him to eat properly and stop smoking and drinking MT dew. Find specialty foods from his nationality that he loves. Also get him to exercise hard if he's healthy enough too. If you have to work him in the bedroom do it. Then have a lot of awesome foods around. Also this is an emotional problem so he might need therapy. If he won't go to therapy then show a romantic spark and take over the situation with aggressive positive passion. Also as soon as he is happy again he will probably apologize. It's definatly Anorixia. My best advice is to take him to cousinling to see why he's eating less and less. And, try to fatten him up. leave him This could well be the start of an eating disorder, ask him how he feels about food and eating in front of others. Yes I think so, or he is just crazy. If it is anorexia it would explain the smoking, some people use smoking to supress their appretite. Drinking all that pop is not healthy, he could have some serious stomach problems if he keeps drinking 8 a day. People can not survive off pop, there is no nutrients at all. Talk to him about it, it would explain the snappy mood. Combining the pop with being anorexic could give him really bad ulcers. Dont make him feel like its an attack when you talk to him. Just express your concerns in a gentle way. People suffering from anorexia get very edgy and defensive when confronted with their problems. |
