Eating Disorder Question...?

ok well my psychiatrist says i fit all the characteristics of bulimia nervosa ok. well she also says i fit anorexia nervosa but i still have my period (note** its not regular and its not as heavy i can last on 1 panty liner all day) so she hasn't diagnosed me with that and not with EDNOS since it isn't regular... so what is it? (i know you can have both bulimia and anorexia)

EDNOS means "eating disorder not otherwise specified". About half of people diagnosed with an eating disorder do not fit neatly in the either/or category of bulimia "or" anorexia. Instead, they do have a mixture of symptoms.

You can still be anorexic even if you're still having your periods. It's a matter of degree.

If you don't know about the SomethingFishy website, I'd highly recommend it. It has a lot of great resources for people who suffer from EDs plus resources for your family members as well. You might want to send them there, because they can be more supportive to YOU when they know more about EDs.

well do you eat regularly like your supposed to without throwing your food up? both bulimia and anorexia is serious you may not see what your doing to yourself now but later in life you will regret...try eating more and maintaing a healthy weight

any eating disorder is bad. just eat food, dont throw it up, and you wont have to ever worry about it again
