Is it possible to have an eating disorder but not be underweight and possibly over weight? yep. an eating disorder is a mental illness. not what you look like. some anorexics start out over weight but most dont. It really depends on the eating disorder. Weight gain is actually a symptom of some of the different disorders. Anorexia is the only one that causes weight loss and being underweight, but bulimia, and binge eating, and binge/purge eating are all eating disorders that usually cause weight gain. It most certainly is. It's called Compulsive Overeating Disorder also known as Binge Eating Disorder.
