Is it possible to have an eating disorder but not be underweight and possibly over weight?

Is it possible to have an eating disorder but not be underweight and possibly over weight?

yep. an eating disorder is a mental illness. not what you look like. some anorexics start out over weight but most dont.

It really depends on the eating disorder. Weight gain is actually a symptom of some of the different disorders. Anorexia is the only one that causes weight loss and being underweight, but bulimia, and binge eating, and binge/purge eating are all eating disorders that usually cause weight gain.
I was bulimic for 4 years, and in the beginning I lost a lot of weight, but slowly, I started gaining more and more and more. Eventually becoming a little overweight before getting into a treatment program. I put together this website that has a lot of information about eating disorders,

Hope this answers your question :)

It most certainly is. It's called Compulsive Overeating Disorder also known as Binge Eating Disorder.

If you would like to read more about it, there is more information here.
