SO scaried what is it like to be hospitalize for an Eating disorder??

Tell me anything you know,..im so scaried..how long does it take normally?..do i get to exercise?...will people think im stuiped because im not supper skinny lm only slightly underweight because my eating disorder is upsess exercise..ahh do they make you get fat?

I was rushed to the emergency room when I was 14 for an eating disorder. The amount of time you spend there is dependent on your recovery. If you are stubborn and refuse to eat, you're not going to get out of there. They will try to make you healthy, which is good. They are not going to make you fat, but they are going to make you healthy. You will probably be able to exercise in moderation (I was at least). But not to the extent that you are now. And lastly, no one is going to think you're stupid. Eating disorders affect tons of people and its good that you're not super skinny! It is very unhealthy to be that thin. No one is going to laugh at you; instead they will congratulate you for getting help. Hope I helped and good luck! Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

Don't be scared. By your questions, I can see that you need help. You have a false image of yourself. They are going to talk to you and help you to see yourself the way you really are. You will gain some weight but you won't be fat. You will be just right and healthy. You will learn how to exercise the right way, not to excess.
They are going to help you. They are going to save your life. This is the best possible thing that could happen.

i know its not a time frame, you have to be a certain weight and stay that way they counsel you on eating health and exercising in moderation They set you you up with plans lots of plans and they teach you to ask for help when u want to lose more weight they give you # 's 2 call they don't judge.....

you are going to be ok

I don't know how long it takes. I'm guessing there is a set time plus however long it takes for you to get better.

You're going to think they are trying to make you fat...but really they're trying to make you healthy.

I hope you will realize that fat doesn't mean fat. It means healthy and well being.

Keep your chin up girl!
