My gf might have an eating disorder. Should I be worried?

I've recently noticed that my girlfriend has started a new diet. I didn't think much of it cause if that's what she wants then it's fine with me. But I haven't seen her eat anything but an apple or two in the past 3 days. I also just found some Laxative pills hidden in the cabinet, if I remember correctly people with eating disorders will take them so food doesn't stay in their system for very long. Should I be worried about her? Or am I just jumping to conclusions?

You have every right to be worried about her. You care about her and her health and that is a good thing. If you see more unusual behavior, you might want to mention it to her parents, who can keep a closer eye on what she eats than you (if she lives at home).

Offer her a cookie one day. That always gets 'em.

If you really start to beleive it, take her to a doctor. After too long, it starts to take control over her and she will never be the same.

no its good to be worried about her well being. Offer her food, her favorite foods whether it be a night out at her favorite restaurant or a box of her favorite candy and see how she reacts. if you feel uncomfortable talking to her parents or bringing her to a doctor you can visit eatingdisorder.com. they can help you help her!
