How do you tell your mom your have a binge eating disorder? |
My mom is my best friend, but I can't tell her I think I might have a Binge eating disorder. What should I do. I think I might need help, but I don't know how to tell her. She will think I am over reacting, or being silly. Get some information on Binge eating disorders, then approach your mom, with some facts to back up what you ae about to tell her. That way she will be able to see that you have those symptoms, and that you are not over reacting and that it is serious. Also find out about some treatments for it (therapy, confidence classes etc), and discuss them with your mom, and go from there. you could write her a letter, explaining whats been going on, what has happened in the last few months and tell her how you feel. If you give her a letter face to face it makes things a lot easier than telling her! |
