I Have Weird Eating Habits...Do I Have An ED (Eating Disorder)?

Hey I don't know if this is weird or not but....about 3 months ago i started worrying about my weight...thinking i'm fat and i could be much skinnier....i started eating less but some days i will eat quite a lot of junk food like chocolate or just snack on fatty things. Then the next day i will worry that i ate too much the day before...and will eat about 3 bananas and a fish pie...i do quite alot of exercise and i do step arobix every tuesday and walk about 3 miles a day (not including my 1 mile school journey that i walk) but i all i see when i look in the mirror is fat fat fat !! i wake up and my belly is flat but then i'll eat some cerial or a peice of toast and will go all fat and i also hate my legs...
Do you think i have an e.d? and got any tips to stay fit and healthy? thanks xx

Yes you do have weird eating habits. Sounds to me like you are an emotional eater. Try to eat whenever you are hungry and THAT IS IT. Ask yourself before you eat..."Am I really hungry?" If not, then chew some sugarfree gum.

You so far don't have an eating disorder but, you're on your way to having one. I have anorexia and I was like that a couple of years ago before I started to starve myself.

you may be headed toward an eating disorder. low self esteem, bad body image, obsession with food and calories or exercise and attempts to compensate for calories by use of exercise are all warning signs of an eating disorder. before this becomes any more serious, please think about what you are doing and talk to your doctor. ask for a referral to a nutritionist and/or psychologist who can help to put you back on the path to healthy eating.
here are some tips to help you eat healthy:
-lots of fruits and vegetables: they're full of fiber, minerals and nutrients and they're low in calories
-get enough protein: it helps to build muscles
-exercise: you already do this enough, but exercise is important because it builds muscle which speeds your metabolism and it keeps you healthy and fit
-drink enough water: it keeps you full and hydrated
-eat breakfast: speeds your metabolism
-eat enough dairy products: dairy contains calcium which is essential for maintainance of bone mass
-minimize fat intake: don't cut out fat altogether, but be conscious of your intake, avoid trans fats and be aware of what products fat is found in
-read nutriton labels: being aware of what is in the foods you are eating is very important to a healthy lifestyle
-be aware of calories, but also consider the other nutrients a food provides: calories are what makes a person gain or lose weight, but the nutrients in a food are what keep you healthy, so make sure you get enough of every nutrient
-never eat below 1200 calories per day, or this will push your body into starvation mode
-for weight maintainance, eat around 2000 calories per day, plus whatever you burned exercising
-all things in moderation: don't be afraid of any food, and allow yourself a few treats every now and then
- be conscious of portion sizes
-avoid fad diets
