How do eating Disorders effect families and friends? |
How do eating Disorders effect families and friends? They're really, really hard on them. Very few things are worse than seeing someone you love and care for hurting themselves. I suffered with anorexia to the point where my organs heart and everything was shutting down, my parents were told to come in and say good bye to me. It affects every one not only does the sufferer suffer but the family sufffers too. The emotional and menatl battles fights doctor appointments and everything associated with an eating dosorder is time consuming and horrendous. I wish i could repair the damage i did to my family through my eating disorder those years that were spend trying ot save me while i was trying to kill me and closely succeeded. Money and financial problems occur with treatment and things needed special food drinks ect its a battlefield Personally, I became very secretive and I pushed everyone who cared about me away. |
