Why do people make a big deal about eating disorders?

i've already lost 23 pounds in a month and a half. every body says that its not healthy to just eat every 3 or 4 days, but all the diets and excersize have not worked, so why should i quit if this is working for me?

...because you are killing yourself. You're so self-absorbed in losing weight and being thin that you're depriving your body of the nutrients it needs to function properly. That's what makes an eating disorder. And it consists in 80% of the entire female population. They vary though, not all do what you are doing. But you are setting yourself up for a long life ahead of eating problems that will control your life if you don't learn to control yourself the correct way. 5 small, portion sized meals a DAY. They keep the body metabolism going so you CAN lose weight healthily. And continue doing the excersize as much as you want.
Because you can't keep it up for life - it's not healthy.
Because if you are losing too much weight, it can kill you or seriously injure you. If it is working for you, good! Keep it up, but make sure to take a daily multivitamin and drink lots of H2O.

Be sure you stop after you've reached your goal, you don't want to be on it too long and overdo it.
because its not i good thing. food is made to eat so people shoulh just eat it, and be happy
if your only eating 3-4 days a week and only lost 23 pounds in a month and a half then something isnt right. you should have lost a lot more than that
it's just not healthy.
you should eat everyday.
You're immune system will lower if you dont eat enough and get enough nutrional value from the food you eat. You'll get sick
