Do you think that today's society and obsession with weight is causing people to resolve to eating disorders?

Are entertainers, the media, and the views on over weight people in society today, causing people resort to eating disorders? If you think so, or if you disagree, why?

Nope.....well, not really.
I think we all know that the media and our culture's obsession with weight has caused a lot of people to diet and lots of teenagers to think they are fat and they just stop snacking or work out more or something like that, that is true.

But a real eating disorder is a disease, it is a mental illness, and just like other mental illnesses, it is there and it has been there, nobody put it there, but it can be triggered and affected by things in the social environment. So I say:
eating disorders are not CAUSED by the media and celebrities, but it certainly doesn't help those who really have real eating disorders, it is encouraged by the media in a way, but like i said, eating disorders are not caused by the media.
