Eating Disorder, question?

I am just trying to gather a bit of information. I have a friend, who I strongly suspect has developed an eating disorder. She has lost a massive amount of weight in a very short period of time, without trying and without developing a medical condition that could explain it. I know for a fact that she is taking something to help her lose the weight, and it isn't a diet pill and I have also determined that it's not a laxative.

What else, in terms of illegal or legal drugs, could she be taking, to cause her to lose the weight? We need to know, in order to be able to help her.

Hope someone can help.

There are sooo many diet drugs on the market just check out GNC!!! Anyway you sound like a good friend to worry about her. Maybe just talk to her family nd see if they can look around her room or home or you be nosey. I know that sounds bad but if your worried it could help to check out her drawers.
If you want to help her, talk to a doctor!!
If you want to help her, quit gossipping about her on this website.
How do you think she would feel if you knew you were up to what you are up to?
TALK TO A PROFESSIONAL!!!!
==============================...
Or I have a better idea... Let's all just sit around and speculate about what she's taking, since that's obviously more productive than seeking professional help!

I'll bet she's shooting up Drano!
No wait...
It MUST be pure ethanol!!!
No wait...
It's rocket fuel!!!
Yeah, that must be it!
Problem solved!
If you think she is taking an illegal drug for weight loss, it's more than likely Crystal Meth. There are some pretty good signs to watch for if its that though. Does she still have the same sleeping patterns? Obviously if you have determined that she needs help shes already extreme, have you just come out and asked her whats up or if you can help her?
Methylamphetamine. Speed.

Let her know that doing that wrecks one's health. It pulls the nutrients you are not eating from your bones and body structures, meaning all kinds of bone, spine, teeth, jaw, and muscle disorders which can be painful and disabling. Heart attacks are not uncommon. Whether it is crystal meth or whatever her method, it is dangerous as hell and will cause her innumerable health issues later. Sorry to hear your friend is going through this. Would she consider seeing a cognitive behavioral therapist to get to the real bottom line and address that? Is she bulemic? That disease can ulcerate your intestinal tract, cause tooth decay and increase your risk of esophageal cancer dramatically. I hope she sorts this out. She's lucky to have you there caring. Hang in there. I don't know if it is important to find out what she is doing as it is to address the real issues behind it. Best of luck.
