Ocd??? phobia??? eating disorder???

As a child i never enjoyed meat, at 11 i turned vegetarian, and as the years have gone by it's got progressivly worse, now i'm bordering on vegan, and struggle to eat anything without checking packets, i'm paranoid whenever i eat out, and don't enjoy food anymore, anything that i can associate with animals, even a picture of a pig on smokey bacon crisps (which are vegetarian) put me off for life, I just want to be able to eat food and enjoy it again, without worrying whats in it, but i can't... It's a completely irrational feeling, after all if i like something, why can't i just eat it??? it's not a moral issue, it just makes me feel ill, thinking about eating anything which may contain something which might have come from an animal. any idea's what this might be or how i can sort it???

definitely not an eating disorder. personally i don't believe in OCD but that is what i would categorize it under. also partially phobia. the phobia would take care of the irrational bit, but you don't seem to be afraid of eating meat, just unwilling so i say OCD. if you want to eat meat then it is just mind over matter. if you don't care then your eating habits seem perfectly healthy. make sure you get enough protein though.
Maybe you should see a doctor. Might be early signs of anorexia.
It sounds like an OCD issue border lining a phobia of meat. I know this sounds crazy, maybe you should contact Dr. Phil or some kind of psychologist. They will be able to help solve your problem.
