Do i have an eating disorder?? |
im 13, 5ft, and 110lbs. im obsessed with getting down to 85lbs in 5 weeks and i exercise for hours a day. if i do have an eating disorder how do i fix it? and also is 90lbs more realistic than 85 in 5 weeks? if so how can i reach that goal in 5 weeks? your a good weight, leave it be. If you go down to 85 pounds then you will have a eating disorder. don't be so obsessed with your weight. Don't be concerned with your weight, its only a number. The more you work out the more muscle you'll gain and it weighs more than fat. I've just started working out a lot and I gained 10lbs of muscle. Make sure you keep eating healthy or you won't be able to stay in shape. Good Luck! Lots of Research! i do not think you have an eating disorder but i do think you need to relax a little and stop obsessing over your weight you are still growing and your body is just starting to go through the most calorie burning stage of your life so far (puberty) it is natural for girls your age to put weight on for this purpose which will then just drop off by the time you reach 16 or 17. if you lead a healthy lifestyle then you will not have to worry about your weight exercise is good for you but remember to eat enough calories to support you through the exercise otherwise you will burn out You body is changing, you are growing. It's natural to feel a little uncomfortable in your body. But you're perfect right now as is, you probably don't want to hear it but you don't need to lose a single pound. Might not be directly related to eating, maybe a body image disorder. I have been to several sites using your information. You are at a great weight at this time. According to the info I found I do not think if would be healthy for you to weigh any less than 100 pounds. You are 13 and your body will constantly be changing and growing. It is a part of growing up. If you feel like you may have a disorder, please discuss it with your mom and seek help if needed. If there is a local nurse line where you live, you can call and discuss it confidentially with them. Your parents do not even have to know. it's good that you exercise but don't worry about the scale. Make sure your eating enough because you could develop heath problems if your not getting enough nutrients. remmember you still developing so you should be gaining weight. |
