Is eating less than 100 calories a day conduative to an eating disorder?

I have this friend who is over 40, she eats like a bird and exercises like "arnold", does she have an ED?

It depends on how long this "eating habit" of your friend has been going on. You know what has 100 calories? 2 packs of sugar free jello gelatine and 2 leaves of salad, and you got 100 calories. The body does need protein(for muscles), carbohydrates(for energy), nutirients-such as minerals to keep our bones in shape, to keep our blood cells from renewing, etc.etc. So if your friend eats that little, then she is depriving her body of essential vitamins and minerals--sounds to me like she would like to lose weight and is getting obsessed with it, which means if she does not have an eating disorder yet---she is well on her way to get one. Talk to her....Good Luck
Oh yeah. Big time.
Duh!!
It sure is.
well if you eat less than 100 calories then that is a really big problem i think the least you have to eat is 2000 calories a day
a normall person needs to get 2000 calories a day if shes getting any less than 500 yes it is an eating disorder.
she eats more than 100 calories a day. if not, she'll be dead in a month
