Do I have an eating disorder? |
I don't eat anything untill lunch time, I only eat small portions when I eat. I dont eat foods that I know have high calorie contents. I don eat in front of others. I always feel fat and can quite easily loose half a stone in a week. Sounds more like you are obsessive-compulsive about your food. That's not an eating disorder but it is a control thing. (Anorexia is also a control thing as well as an eating disorder.) If it bothers you, go for therapy. If how you eat or don't eat starts to affect your life so you have problems functioning, then definitely go for therapy. If you truly had an eating disorder you would hide it not advertise it. no...not necessarily...your not a big eater, i feel the same way sometimes sometimes i don't have breakfast lunch or dinner and i weigh 161 Your problem seems to be with self esteem rather than any eating disorders. I think you do. enjoy food and not focus and obsess over portions and calories, live your life more . Find beauty in yourself and others. Dont let anyone bad into your life. Are you below 85% of your recommended body weight? Do you binge and then purge by vomiting, laxatives or excessive exercise? If the answers to these questions are no, then you don't have an eating disorder. You may be displaying unhealthy eating habits that could lead to an eating disorder. Just eat healthily and don't get obsessed with food. Remember, we eat to live not live to eat. |
