Do I have an eating disorder? |
Okay, I am 15 years old male I eat Special K cereal in the morning, my mom always wants me to eat atleast a banana , and I say no because I might gain weight So at school, I dont eat lunch. and Today my class got free donuts, and I didnt even eat any. After school, I only eat special K cereal, and fruits, but when my mom wants me to eat a salad, im terrified and wish I could throw it up because I ate special K like 4 hours ago i dont think that i could be a comepletely valid source, but really if you obsess over that all the time, you might. or you might just be determined to lose weight. you never really can tell, unless you go to someone who is perfessionally trained in psycological disorders. if you think it is becoming a problem, then try to get help. no, but you might wanna eat healthier... yes you do I'm sorry but you need to tell somebody so you can get some help You might have an eating disorder, really you shouldn't be afraid of eating fruits and veggies, they're good for you, full of vitamins, minerals, fiber and stuff; nothing that will make you fat. If you are 15, you need to focus on making/keeping your body healthy, that means eating the right kinds of foods and getting plenty of sleep and exercise. you might. I suggest talking to your mom, or an adult you can trust. Then, get some help and go to a dietician to see what is healty for you to eat. Okay here is the thing. I am not a psychologist nor a doctor so I can not diagnose whether or not you suffer from an eating disorder. It sounds like you may have a problem. If you obsess over calories and work out excessively to work off what you ate just in case you may gain weight then odds are you either have an Eating disorder or you are well on your way down the path of one. Since you say you are terrified to eat a salad my opinion would be that you could have a problem. You should try talking to your mother and maybe search for some professional help. Eating disorders are very serious thing and they should not be played around with. If you feel in your heart that you could have an eating disorder, even if it is a little feeling you should seek treatment and help. I am sure your Mother will do everything she can to help you through this. Try talking to a close friend, or talking to your school counselor. You can not get better if you do not look for ways to get better. Best of luck too you. Try visiting www.something-fishy.org, or www.eatingdisorders.org They may help you. |
