Would you consider this an eating disorder?

Obsessing over food and thinking about it a lot. Only eating healthy foods and on a diet?

There is something about the way you write the question that leads me to believe it might be.

First, your question, "Would you consider...?" That is kind of an argument. Sounds like you are arguing with someone in real life about this.

Then, the very next word is "Obsessing" which is a disorder, in and of itself. That is, "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" knowns as OCD.

Finally, you say "Only eating healthy foods and on a diet" but you do not say anything about if you are causing trouble in your life by your eating habits. And that, in the end, is always the basic way an eating disorder is defined. If your obsessing and the way you are choosing to eat is causing trouble around you, or with your body (like losing too much weight, getting so picky that you eat nothing at all some times, never being able to eat with family members because you won't eat 'their' food) then it is an eating disorder.
maybe not an eating disorder YET, but it definitely sounds like you're on your way. please be careful. life isn't all about food and calories.
my own experience with anorexia.
if your just obsessing and not eating it is not a eating disorder.
My daughter had both kinds of the eating disorder which almost caused her life. She obsessed over food, she wouldn't "our food" she cooked her own. After she ate or binge she would make herself throw up. Then there times she wouldn't eat at all. She all exercised continually. She would say at first she was trying to live a healthy way now. When I noticed you could see her ribs I knew there was a problem plus her good friends told me about her throwing up after every meal.I got her help and now she is fine now. So if you are obsessing over food where you are afraid to eat certain foods then I think you might be leaning toward a eating disorder and or if excising excessively. Good luck.
Nope eating disorder is more along the lines of starving yourself and losing weight rapidly which can lead to stomach aches and ulcers. im pretty sure your on the safe side right now ('',) dont worry
