Have you ever had a eating disorder and did you get control of it? |
Have you ever had a eating disorder and did you get control of it? Yes, and no I don't feel I have control over it yet. It is going to be a life long struggle unfortunately for me, and for most people who have issues with food. Also, dieting only can make eating disorders worse. I exercise a lot to keep my eating in check...it happens to calm me and I seem to make better choices in food when I am on a good exercise regime. Have you ever read any books by Geneen Roth? She has some great books on the subject. Specifically what kind of eating disorder are you referring to? Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder? UUUMMMMMMMM DOUGHNNUTS!!! Yes. And "get control" is the right phrase, not cure. It is a tough battle fighting the need for control and/or perfectionism. But so worth it! I almost became anorexic because I was not eating and I would ignore my stomach for about a year and I realized (and so did my mom and friends) that I was losing a lot of wieght so I started gradually eating again and now I am perfectly healthy yes, and then i got saved, and with the help of God i won the battle over it yes, mostly. i had anorexia and got control of it after i realized i was only hurting myself and no one else. i had overweight and lost 80 lbs in a year and a half, by reducing portions. i might still have a bit of eating disorder but i have it under control. how? yoga, yoga, yoga and dance meditation www.dancemeditation.org Yes i am struggling with one right now. I had a cracker for breakfest and lunch and for dinner i will eat an olive. That is my daily diet. To take control i will probably eventually eat food like subway and mcdonalds to look like an actual american. |
