Question about some kind of eating disorder?

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!
Ok there isn't much food in my house because my bro eats it all. Whenever I buy food like a box of cookies and a 2-liter of sode. My brain automatically makes me think that I must east it all before my bro gets to it! So I eat it all in like 15 minutes! When I'm at my friend's house and I stay for dinner I would finish 25 minutes before them because I would eat it quick. I try not to eat the food that I buy for myself all at once but I can't help it! Also I don't throw it up.

Well I really don't see an eating disorder! Don't mean to scare you or anything, but I see a psychological one! You have started your problem by saying that, "there isn't much food in my house because my bro eats it all. Whenever I buy food... My brain automatically makes me think that I must east it all before my bro gets to it!" You have answered your own question really! You want to finish the food before someone else does! I don't know how many years you had to live with your brother, but you have to condition your brain now so that fear of no food will leave you!
I don't think you have an eating disorder. You know how some people say "It's all in your head"? Well I think this is one of those cases. For instance you say you have to eat the food before your brother eats it right? Well if you've been doing this a while then your mind gets into it's own state when food is around thinking "I gotta eat this before someone else does!"

Instead of eating the food you buy to keep your brother from getting it first maybe you should buy a lock box and put it in there or just tell him..."Dude!!! You need to buy your own food and stop eating mine all the time!" If he's younger than you and don't have a job maybe you need to talk to your parents about it and tell them the situation.

Good Luck and if you got any more questions email me dixiemom8203@yahoo.com!

Doesn't sound like an eating disobehaviourunds like your brother's behaviour has conditioned you to eat at an usually fast and obsessive pace.

I would ask your self, does this behavior negatively affect me in away that causes me personal, interpersonal or other problems. If you are just getting mild indigestion, don't worry. If it has significant consequences then perhaps its a problem.

You might want to try pacing yourself by counting how many times you chew your food. I tell weight loss pt's to chew there food at least 10x before shollowing. This will slow you down and allow you to recognize the feeling of being full before you over eat.
Clinical experience.
hm I wouldn't call this an eating disorder, it may simply be anxiety
You know ur problem so try and help urself...limit urself and pull out like half a box of cookies and let ur brother get the other half...eating real fast is bad for ur health as well...

Just be strict with urself and tell urself that the food ain't going anywhere or hide it somewhere...

I keep some food in my room...the packaged kind that ppl eat too much of too fast n so now i take it out occasionally but then share it at my own time as well...
