Eating large quantities of food in a short amount of time. This is usually caused by depression. Some people eat a lot when they are depressed. The best way to overcome the binge eating is to eat normally as you have before. Try to resist the tempation of eating when you're not hungry. And if you are still concerned, go see a doctor. SLOW DOWN There is only one symptom, bingeing: eating unusally large amounts of food that can serve more than two people. That definiton can actually apply to every American because we eat food that is calorie heavy, hence our obesity epidemic. However, in the medical sense, they can even eat so much food to the point of throwing up. Most people who have binge eating disorder try to hide their behavior from others, feeling ashamed about their overeating. Indeed, some people "compensate" for their behavior by purging: induced vomiting, fasting. heavy exercising, and even laxative abuse. At this stage, binge eating is no longer binge eating--it is bulimia. People often get the two confused about the two. The disorder is an expression of a deeper, psychological problem. If you think you have this problem, you should talk to a doctor or psychiatrist--someone who has experience with this type of problem and knows how to approach the reasons why you are eating the way you are. yeah..u're very insecure if u feel any weight gain, u always comparing yrself wt others,u always try to become all those skinny actress or singer..i strongly advise u dont let yr body become like nicole richie...scary huh |
