I think I might have a eating disorder but maybe I just love food?



I love to eat and I swear it's all I think about, I am always planning my next meal. I am not fat, but if I contiue this way I will be. I eat and eat and I'm never full. Do you think this could be psychological? I was adopted when I was two and I've heard stories about my siblings and I fighting over food because we never had any, don't know if it's true but it would explain a lot. What's your opinion?

It could be psychological. There was a time when I just had to eat. I could have just had dinner(or even in the middle of it) and would be thinking about eating something else.

You may be doing out of habit/boredom. Keep a log of when you find yourself wanting food. What is your hunger level(scale of one to ten). I eat when I get to a 5.

I found from my observations that I was eating at night, after 6, when I was sitting infront of the television. I was bored. I preplan my food intake. Three healthy meals, and 4 light snacks. The 100 cal packs have been a god send. I eat no snack over 100 calories, but allow myself one "fun" snack a week(piece of candy, cookie, etc) When I find myself wanting to eat for no reason I do something else.

At first I was not as strict with my food intake. I would allow myself an aditional snack if I really wanted it. After a week I was more strict, sometimes I would allow it, other times no. My body adjusted to eating less, and I am not feeling false hunger all the time. I had gained up to 160 lbs and am now at a healthy 137.

Talk to a nutritionist/GP, make sure there is no underlying health problem first. Try a group like weight watcher. They help teach proper eating habits, portion control, and accountability.
Yeah for a while I thought I had Prader-Willi Syndrome, but it turns out I just love food.
It's possible that some of this is emotional. However, it depends on what you are eating. If you eat foods high in calories, and low in nutrients, you will still be hungry.

Your apestat, your hunger button, will continue to go off it your body doesn't have the proper nutrients.

Know that sounds boring but it's the way to a beautiful body and beautiful skin and not feeling hungry.
you either need to think of something else i.e. get a hobby or start smoking. smoking cut my food intake by 2/3
