Could I be heading for an eating disorder? |
I'm not sure, but I think I might develop something. I want to lose about 10kg, so I've put a limit on calories. I take in about 800cal every day. If I don't exercise enough in a day, I don't eat to make up for it. I've been on a few pro-ana sites, to try and find out if I could be heading towards anorexia. A few of the things I read about the "start" of anorexia are exactly like what I do. Um, I'm confused... Help please =] Yes, you could be heading towards anorexia and this can be extremely dangerous (as you know). I was just in a clinic with an anorexic patient who was literally dying. 800 calories is just way too few. Please try your best to get up to 2000 calories a day and for now, please do not exercise. The patient I am referring to continued to exercise while trying to put weight back on and had to be rushed to the emergency room in the local hospital with air bubbles in his lungs. You might also consider checking yourself into a clinic; I also saw and anorexic/bulemic woman make a remarkable turnaround in about 2 weeks. But please take action rapidly; the statistics on people who do not get appropriate help are frightening. I wish you all the best and stay strong! What is your weight now?I suggest you don't put a limit to your calories....just make a lot of exercises to get rid of them...u need a solid program for that. You're not just heading for anorexia, you're hurtling towards it at near-light speed. STOP NOW. 10kg isn't worth your health and your looks. |
