How can media help in preventing eating disorder? |
How can media help in preventing eating disorder? First, they can start by putting the right people in the close. I'm obese, and there is nothing more depressing than looking thru a "fat" magazine and seeing a size 4 lady modeling an outfit that is supposed to be made for someone my size! Use real people, not the barbie doll. Fat people are beautiful too! Show that it is o.k. to be any size as long as you are happy and healthy!! by showing you don't have to be super thin to be popular. ive been there done that, starved myself, binged, back and forth, for 3yrs, finally im happy and content, and its just naturally happened, u gotta learn to love urself b4 others can love u, and not try to change urself to make others like u, bc ive done it and it doesnt work ne better it works against u, and unfortunately media does nuthing to truly help a person, only they can I think when using models in magazines, TV etc they should pick people of all shapes and sizes and not stick thin. I think people look attractive enough to model what ever there size. |
