Is it possible I have an eating disorder, though, I'm not under weight at the moment? |
for the last few years Ive had friends question the fact of the possibily I have some sort of eating disorder. I know my way isn't the right way, but I'm unsure it's really an "issue". Basically, I eat once a day. At night.. I don't eat all day, since it frightens me to think I may ever weigh what I used to or that I may develope hunger more than once in that day.. In the even I do eat something not healthy or I eat too much in a sitting or a day, I make myself purge. I will not attend dinners with work or friends, I hate eating aroung people I dont' know or in public. When I brush my teeth sometimes, it appears the backof my thoat bleeds, as do my teeth. I've dropped over 60 lbs, but that is in the course of three years or so. I seem to get worse and become lost in my own worlf of this when I'm stressed. I feel like all I think about is eating just get the satisfaction of making myself vomit. Please tell me what you'd think ..... You're smart enough to know that what you're experiencing is not the norm. Your association with food and the control of food is keeping you from living normally. You're smart enough to ask, "Do I maybe need help?" You're on exactly the right track to help your body and your health stay healthy. Yeah, you're heading over the edge to causing your body and mind some real damage. You already know that your relationship with food isn't right. It's time to find a counselor and a group in your area that help with bulemia and anorexia. YES, if you are making yourself vomit and only eat once a day, it sounds like you have both anorexia and bulimia. Talk to a parent, counselor, or a trusted adult immediately!! good luck! Umm.... RED FLAG!!!!! Yes just for you to think you have a problem , you do!! Your throat bleeding is not good at all and you are ruining the enamel on your teeth every time you purge. Eating is natural and you should be eating 3-5 small healthy meals daily and plenty of water. I would really like you to try to get some help. After you do you should talk to a nutritionist. They can help you with what to eat and how to do it and stay healthy. It sounds to me you are in a downwords spiral that is only going to get worse if you don't ask for help soon!!! You are hurting your body in ways more than you know or think. Please talk to someone. Good Luck!! |
