I think my friend has an eating disorder, what should I do?

1 of my best friends has stopd eatin &'s gon exercise mad. Shes 14 &she usualy eats quite abit, tho shes definatly not fat. Its only bn goin on 4a few wks but I went thru sumfin similar lst yr & I no if it had bn sortd out quicka then it wud hav bn easier to get ova.
We kp tryin 2gt her to eat but she refuses to, evryday at lunch she jst says shes havin 'an off day' &that she 8 a huge brekfast &that she had loads yestrday anyway. But we no neitha of those is tru bcoz we askd her litle sis if shes eatin much at home &she said no, & also that she was checkin all the kcals on stuf &asap she wud just go upstairs & do sit ups.
Wat makes it wors's that 1 of our friends has bn, I dunno it sounds a bit mn but clingin to the friend that's not eatin, so tht weneva we try 2 get thu 2 her about her eatin the otha friend just denies it 4 her &so evrithin we try she wont let us say 2 the friend dats not eatin
We told her sis 2 tell her parents if it gts wors but we want sumfin mor practical

you need to talk to her if she dose not liston tell her parente and get your friend help.
intervention or confront her....
i feel sry for her she needs to have higher self esteem so encourage her when ever she does something good tell her that she is buetiful and stuff.
I would so tell her parents
It's hard to read your message, but there's nothing more "practical" than telling her parents.

I suggest that you invite her over and offer her something to eat. If she tells you that she's eaten she's probably lying. Sit her down and talk to her about how you know what it's like to want to control your body and make it perfect because you feel so disgusted with yourself. Make sure you let her know that you support her but it's really scary and unhealthy to not eat. Tell her that it's safe to exercise but overexercising can tear apart your body. If she won't listen, and she probably won't, try to have an intervention with a lot of her friends and people she's close too. If she refuses to see it then, tell her parents because they need to know what's going on with their child. Honestly, telling her parents is the most practical option because you shouldn't deal with this whole situation by yourselves because she needs serious help if she has a true eating disorder.
