I think i might have an eating disorder, what should i do? |
my friends always tell me that i am so skinny. i think i am fat though. they tell me i am anerexic when i dont eat anything for a few days straight. somtimes if i do eat i try to throw up my food. last year in 6th grade one of my freinds told a counsler and saw him for a while. i always feel dizzy and almost pass out somtimes. i am 5'4 i weigh around 98-100 pounds. i dont know if i have an eating disorder or not. my friends are so worried about me i dont know what to do. please help me. that's unhealthy, you should tell your parents or someone in authority who's in a position to help you. if you are worried about telling your parents you could walk into any hospital where they would give a free and confidential evaluation and would be able to help you. I would def seek help. You can die from anorexia and bulimia. They are not things to joke around with. When you throw up stomach acid rips up your insides. You need to eat to stay healthy and you sure seem to have an eating disorder. Get help! You probably do have anorexia or bulemia. If you aren't eating ANY of your three meals for a while, that could definately mean you have anorexia. And if you try to make yourself throw up your food, you could definately have bulemia. The best thing you can do is look for help. Start by talking to your parents: tell them you think you have an eating disorder and you think you need help. Talk with a counselor again, or talk to a therapist- after all, they basically are all the same thing, just for different places. If it gets worse, or your therapist/parents think you should, see a doctor. These disorders are extremely unhealthy and should never intentionally be done, even though you probably did this on accident. Even if you're not sure, or you think you don't but you have these signs, TALK TO YOUR PARENTS. Listen to these people that answered your question. Your worries of being overweight should not come from eating they should come from exercising. Eat regularly. You can eat healthy things like fruit, veggies, special k cereal, grilled chicken, grilled fish, and much much more and not gain weight from them because they do not have fat. You need to concentrate on eating, eating regularly, and eating healthy foods. If you are concered you will gain weight then you should start exercising such as running and doing pilates or weight training. YOur weight loss should not come from not eating, but from good exercising. |
