How do I get rid of this eating disorder? |
Mainly I have had a promblem with the kinds of food I eat. I am 15 years old and I only eat Pizza, mac and cheese, ceral, and a few other basic things like that. I do not eat food like steak, meat, french fries, bugars and other food most normal people eat. This is not by choice i simply just do not like the food Any advice at all would be helpful. By the way I have been to many docters for this and they do not seem to help. Thank so much, I think you should see a nutritionist, and they might be able to give you some ideas. Its good that you are avoiding fast food. The primary problem I'm seeing with your diet is a lack of vegetables, and possibly protein (although the cheese and milk are good.) I would suggest that you tak those things that you like, and build on them to get a healthy diet. So, with your pizza, make sure you get one with lots of veggies. Add some pasta sauce and steamed veggies to your mac and cheese. Cut up a banana into your cereal, or, buy something like Post Select cereal, which is practically granola with fruit. Consider taking a multivitamin for a while since your diet is not varied. You don't see a doctor for this disorder, you need to speak with a professional nutritionist. Most eating disorders are caused by an imbalance of the amount of sugar your body absorbs from the food. There are ways to correct that. Speak to a nutritionist and learn how. Good luck well you're 15 years old, you will change alot as you get older as well as your taste for certain foods. I'd say make yourself eat what necessary for a balanced healthy diet even if you don't LOVE IT. I didn't like the vegetables my mom put on my plate when I was little, but I plugged my nose and ate them. You poor thing. I have a child with the same problem. Short of eating what you don't like go lowfat. Use skim or fat free dairy. My son likes tomatoes so I always make sure I have plenty of them. He loves ramen noodles so I use fat free chicken broth or bouillon rather than the packets they come with. Plus he loves ranch dressing so I get him the fat free kind so he'll eat things he normally doesn't like (or at least a few things). The weight caught up with him big time in his teens & now he's paying for it. So he started bicycling, walking, swimming and using the trampoline. The last 2 he really likes & have helped alot. The others are kinda touch and go. But you need to get some activity now or you'll really be sorry as you get older. |
