Weight loss for a person with binge eating disorder? |
I have a binge eating disorder and I find I am having a hard time right now with controling my food intake. I'm wondering if you have any idea's as to what I could do instead? Thanks 1. exercise, especially cardio (tae bo) will curve your craving. 2. drink AT LEAST 80 ounces of water a day. gets rid of your toxins &also curves your cravings. dehyrdation can cause munchies! 3. binge eat on healthy foods such as veggies and fruits. veggies such a broccoli is actually called "negativa calories" you will not gain weight from over eating! 4. when you catch yourself reaching out for junk foods, stop yourself and drink a cup of water. will curve that muchies. 5. are you depressed? or stressed? these things can be the cause of binge eating. hope that helped! Okay, this strikes home. I honest to goodness had a huge binge eating disorder and even though at the time I thought I would never get over it I did and I've completely recovered. The best advise I can give is to read a book called Intuitive Eating, by two ladies I think. I actually gave a seminar on the information because it changed my life and really worked. Don't get scared, but you need to accept your body, listen to your hunger and fullness, and stop the diet mentality. Try &talk w/people you know&trust. Ok, check out the info here... http://www.myeatingdisorder.com... and seach for the binge disorder on the site. It has useful information about the disorder, what classifies it as a disorder, and also has some really healthy recipes on the site as well under the nutrition and recipe links. My nutritionist has been the most help for me, understanding how foods effect my body differently etc. I hope so much that this helps you!! Best of luck to you. Toni Lynne :) |
