Do you get accused of having an eating disorder?

I'm 5'7" and I weigh anywhere between 115 - 125 pounds, and people (mostly women) constantly accuse me of having an eating disorder; either I don't eat at all, or if they see me eating that's my only meal of the day; it gets on my last nerve.

Why do people feel that it okay to call someone 'skinny', but it's not okay to call someone 'fat'?

Why are comments like 'you really need to eat' accepted as something to say to someone??

I think sometimes it can be difficult for people who carry some more weight than you to understand why you are thinner. There seems to be a lot of tasty food around now so mabye some just don't understand this. I suppose it comes down to a kind of jealousy thing.
your alright,
I get the same thing and I find it annoying and upsetting too. I'm to the point where I'm so self-conscious about what people say, that I won't eat in front of them.

Just try to remember: At least they care enough to notice and want to help!
Yeah, I sometimes do. It scares me because I think that my parents will believe the other person, not me, and force me to get a drip or something. Or force feed me.
I do and it's getting me annoyed, I am also very thin, and just because we are thin doesn't mean people should say we have an eating disorder, I totally agree with you!
You are kidding about people not calling someone fat aren't you? If you are, you haven't been paying attention.

Other than that, people love to attach labels to everything. You just have to ignore the uncouth and the willfully stupid.
I agree with you completely. I have the same problem myself, being about two inches taller than you and about the same weight. I have learned to just smile and say "Blame my metabolism." and then if (when) they look at me blankly, smile even more and tell them to look it up.
