If you think you suffer from an Eating Disorder, should you get tested or seek therapy?

I have been suffering from an ED on and off for the past few years, but never sought out professional help. Nor am I admitting that I have a problem or asking for help.

By asking this question, you are reaching out for help. You know how eating disorders can affect your life and you know that the effects can be detrimental. Finding someone to talk to, who can counsel you and help you through this, can only make things easier for you.
Yes, you should.

If you think you have a problem, then you do.
If your afraid of going and talking to someone at first. Maybe check out a few websites first, you might be able to talk to someone online who can help you. Here's a couple sites to look at.

If I thought I was suffering from an eating disorder (and I am not, I should add), the first thing I would do is seek professional treatment with the help of my doctor/primary care physician. The links provided by the previous poster are good; here's another one for your review. Good luck...
