At what point would you consider someone would have an eating disorder? |
You wouldnt call someone anorexic who skipped one meal. So at what point do you call someone bulemic? How 'often' do they have to do the behaviours to be clinically bulemic and needing help? when someone is suppper skinny where u can see their bone or when they are super fat and all u see is fat binging and purging no matter how often is bulemic. Skipping one meal a month because you aren't hungry is not anorexic. Skipping meals regularly in an attempt to lose weight, is anorexic. as soon as one begins the act of intentionally vomiting in order to purge themselves of food eaten, they have begun down the path to bulimia. When they start living a lifestyle centered around how much they eat and how they can get rid of it (anorexic, bulimic) or get more of it (obesity). when you find throw up in jars and you can see bones earlier signs are not eating fainting and hair loss. starving yourself is not anorexic. something in your mind clicks and it just happens; you just start eating less and less until you eventually stop eating for fear of gaining weight. same with bulemic only you start throwing up more and more until it happens after almost every meal; I would say about once every day or once every 2 days would be clinically bulemic They do it gradually till they stop to eat. They may still look health but they probably lose too much weight too fast, with obsessive dieting and exercising. This is definitely a sign of eating disorder! |
